The main story element of the game is to collect parts of a citizenship ID card which gains you access to the final level of the game. The creatures come in various shapes and sizes, from spiders to more complex, grotesque monsters.In game weapons include hammers, baseball bats, axes and frying pans.Īs the game progresses you unlock more details about what happened to the town of Hanwell and it's inhabitants. These elements are scattered around the map, as the user makes their way around the map they can find weapons with which to combat the many monsters (known in the game as anomalies) that appear. Welcome to Hanwell is an open world horror game in which you explore this derelict town in search of documents, voicemails, and recordings. The game sees you explore the fictional abandoned town of Hanwell, encountering creatures as you make your way through the game. A Nintendo Switch version of Welcome to Hanwell was released on August 9th 2019.
